We'll be doing a much scaled-down version at the end of the summer (not coordinating with other families so much). Besides, other people need tips, and there's always those long, sunny afternoons, so I'm still collecting new fun ideas, and I'll be adding a few posts to this blog here and there. Most of the links on this blog from last year still work (a couple I saw are faulty). Please add comments about new discoveries for fun and cheap family activities in SoCal to the new blog posts so people can see your tips, too.
New activities I've discovered for summer 2014:
- My friend Miriam G. told me about this cool place out in Idyllwild.
- Kids claim to be bored? Try the activities here and here. Thanks to Rae S. for the first link.
- Someone -- I confess I no longer remember who -- shared this list of free concerts. However it doesn't actually contain all the L.A. music events as it claims.
- Ever want to learn archery? (UPDATE AUG 2014: The archery range is closed for renovation. It will supposedly reopen in about a year and will be bigger, with more facilities and activities.)
