One of the kids is home with me, and it's been interesting. We're taking a power-walk together every morning. As we stroll through the streets, we make conversation and just hang out. We also do other things, just the two of us, and because this is my oldest child, we can do things that I can't do with my other kids.
And then there's all those Sundays and now July 4th coming up. We're planning to go to the parade in Pacific Palisades on the afternoon of the 4th, and have spent the last two Sundays on extended outings near the beach. This week, we're hoping to see my mother-in-law. (Which reminds me I have to phone her...)
But I'm also on the lookout for some new items to put on the blog as well as on our family's calendar. Three exhibits at local museums sound appealing to me, as well: The Route 66 one at the Autry, The Snowy Day at the Skirball, and the Expressionism exhibit at LACMA.
Check out this article with details of those exhibitions and others.
